UN Special Rapporteur Clément Nyaletsossi Voule, following his visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina last year and discussions he had with a number of government representatives and civil society organizations, published the “Report on the Rights to Freedom of Peaceful Assembly and of Association in BiH”.
The Report, among other things, concludes that ethno-nationalist, anti-gender and homophobic narratives and hate speech affect human rights defenders, journalists and environmental activists, limiting their ability to freely and safely carry out their legitimate work, which includes providing essential services to communities and vulnerable individuals.
