With this exhibition, we pay tribute to human rights defenders from Bosnia and Herzegovina who do not give up in the fight for human dignity, well-being and a better tomorrow.
To women who are brave despite numerous challenges.
The exhibition is organized by the Human Rights House Banja Luka, and the aim of the exhibition is to inform visitors about the work and activities of the House.
As part of this exhibition in Banja Luka, you can also see photographs from the exhibition “Portraits of Strength” organized by the Human Rights House Foundation in Oslo.
As a reminder, the exhibition “Face of a Defender” will be held in three cities – Tuzla, Banja Luka and Sarajevo, and visitors will have the opportunity to see photographs of portraits of 12 women human rights defenders from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The photographs were taken by local photographers and show 12 women human rights defenders from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina who work on various issues: from the protection and promotion of the rights of women, children and other vulnerable and minority groups, to building peace and a culture of remembrance, environmental protection and the fight against corruption.
The defenders were nominated by civil society organizations from Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the selection was made by an expert jury.
The first exhibition will be held in Tuzla on March 25 and 26, and is organized by the “Human Rights House” Banja Luka and the Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly, with the support of the Youth Resource Centre (ORC) Tuzla.
After Tuzla, the exhibition will be in Banja Luka, the opening is planned for March 28 at 6 p.m. at the Vagon Gallery, and the exhibition will be on display until April 1, while the exhibition in Sarajevo is scheduled for April 11 at 7 p.m. at the Collegium Artisticum and will last until April 25.
