Representative of the Human Rights House Banja Luka at the event in Oslo

The Human Rights House Foundation in Oslo (Norway) organized an event from 7 to 11 October, at which representatives of all Human Rights Houses in the network had the opportunity to advocate for topics of importance to them, including a representative of the Human Rights House Banja Luka.

This event provided an opportunity to discuss trends in the field of human rights with representatives of the Norwegian Parliament, the Council of Europe, the OSCE, the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as the NORAD and NUPI agencies.

The representative of the Human Rights House Banja Luka, Tanja Boromisa, warned in her presentations about the reduction of space for the work of civil society organizations and the trend of strengthening mistrust and narratives against citizens’ associations. She indicated the necessity of stronger support for organizations in the Republic of Srpska and in the Western Balkans in general.

We advocated for stronger support of Norway for human rights defenders, freedom of expression, and the rights of sensitive categories.
